Honored to Be Recognized as a Heroe/Sheroe as part of Collaborative Care Community of professionals
Dr. Soraya Fallah: Everyday Heroes/Sheroes Recognition Recipient – 2024–25
Honored to Be Recognized as a Heroe/Sheroe
I am deeply honored to receive recognition from LAUSD as part of the Everyday Heroes/Sheroes 2024–25—a meaningful acknowledgment that celebrates dedication, leadership, and positive impact within our schools and the broader community.
As a proud recipient and staff member of the second-largest educational institution in the nation, I have the privilege of serving across multiple departments: the Medical Services Division – Wellness Programs, Healthy Start, and the Multilingual and Multicultural Education Department’s Refugee Educational Support Program (RESP). Every day, I strive to support students, families, and colleagues with compassion, collaboration, and commitment.
This recognition reflects not only excellence in performance but also a deep commitment to student success and contributions that uplift and enhance our school communities.
What makes this even more special is that I am not alone—I was one among many dedicated individuals who were nominated. What does that mean for our school community? It means that the more caring and committed people we have, the stronger our schools become, and the greater our collective achievements will be.
As stated in the Certificate of Recognition:
“For demonstrating excellence in work performance, school and community involvement, and leadership and commitment to the Los Angeles Unified School District.”
Signed by Superintendent Alberto Carvalho and Personnel Director David Greco.
I am sincerely grateful to the school staff and HS and RESP administrators who nominated me. While awards are never the goal, being recognized as a Hero/Shero is a powerful reminder of the impact we can make when we lead with heart and purpose.
